Strong-willed kids can have the hardest time accepting things not going their way.
Typically, we try:
– convincing them that our way will work better, to which they think maybe but it still doesn’t mean I should give up MY way;
– getting them to “want less”, which is not really that awesome a message when we think about it in the bigger picture – should they always lower their standards?
– getting them to let go of being fixated on this one thing.
